By Car / Parking:
Fishponds Baptist Church is on Downend Road, opposite the Cross Hands pub. If travelling into Bristol, use the M32 and exit at Junction 2, take the first exit from the roundabout and that will take you through to Fishponds.
There is a small car park at the church, but please park elsewhere so there is space for the bridal party and those with access needs. There is a large car park on Beechwood Road (BS16 3TP) which is free for 3 hours and is about 5 minutes walk away from the church. There is also some parking on Straits Parade. Please avoid parking in residential areas.
By Public Transport
There are plenty of buses between Bristol City Centre and Fishponds. The Y2 & Y5 (towards Yate/Chipping Sodbury) run from the Bus station. The 48, 48A & 49 (towards Emersons Green or UWE Frenchay) from the City Centre/Old Market.
Alight at ‘The Cross Hands’ (by the Co-op supermarket). If on a 48A, get off at ‘New Station Road’ by Greggs in the central part of Fishponds. Continue along Fishponds Road until you see the Cross Hands pub and you’ll see the church on the left.
If coming to Bristol by train, Stapleton Road is the closest station to the church, and you can catch the 48, 48A or 49 from bus stops close to the station.
If arriving at Bristol Temple Meads, you can catch the 48, 48A or 49 from Old Market, a 10 minute walk from the station (or a short journey on the 8 or 9).
